2013 Orientation Leader Application

Specialized Programs

Once selected as an Orientation Leader, there are opportunities to become involved in several optional programs:

Transfer Ambassadors are a select group of students who work specifically with our transfer population. This group will be a part of the Transfer Luncheon that occurs on Day 1 of the Transfer New Student Conference.  Applications for Transfer Ambassadors are now closed.

CSI: Aggieland is a vignette designed to teach incoming student about Campus Safety Issues. Orientation Leaders serve as the actors for this skit. If selected, cast members will have meetings and rehearsals outside the General Meeting times. Applications for CSI:Aggieland are now closed.

The Student Panel is a group of current orientation leaders who have been selected to be a part of the Being an Aggie Family Member program on the evening of Day 1. This group of students answers questions posed by family members about life here in Aggieland. If selected, student panelists will have meetings outside the General Meeting times. Applications for Student Panel are now closed.

While all Orientation Leaders give campus tours, the Tour Guide Leaders are an individually selected and specially trained group of tour guides. They act as mentors to the rest of the orientation leaders during the tours program. This group provides Orientation Leaders a chance to develop their skills as a public speaker and spark a passion for A&M in every new student that they meet. Applications to become a Tour Guide Leader are now closed.
